Bought several of these grips to replace existing grips. Luckily I didn't have to gouge, drill or make any other adjustments. The product appears to be very well made. My only criticism (and therefore not 5 stars) was twisting the two sides together. The handles are sized so that a screwdriver (even with the thinnest shank I have) won't go straight into the screws. I needed to find a good handle with a simple lock to replace the old one in my bedroom. I didn't need anything fancy just something to easily lock the door with when I needed privacy and it would look nice and fit in the existing door opening from the previous handle.
