Bought to fit my '03 4Runner and looks like a perfect clone visually. Unfortunately, the inner workings of my remote control did not fit into this replacement housing without modification. At first everything seemed fine. I put in the panic button and then the circuit board with the battery and everything clicked. Unfortunately, when I tested the device, something went wrong. The top button (lock) was too stiff and the bottom button (unlock) didn't work at all. After some troubleshooting, I found that the "innards" of the remote (PCB) were cramped and clamped too tightly in the closed case, causing the buttons to be pinched and snapped. Given the low cost, I figured I'd try to fix it. I pulled out the dremel and started sanding the flat inside of the case to remove some material so there was more room for the board. Of course after some trial and error I assembled everything and voila, a working unit. Too bad this replacement hasn't been tested on other remotes, otherwise it would have been perfect. Once modified I would give it 5 stars but as it stands I can only give it 2. Generous review as 99% of buyers have to return it if they don't have it to hand.
