I don't know why so many people have trouble with this lock. I've been using it for about two weeks and I block/unblock about 4 times a day on average with no problems. I might have gotten a 'good' one, but I suspect other reviewers may have misfollowed the instructions for setting the initial combo, or accidentally reset their combo when trying to unlock it, since the layout of the two buttons can be confusing can. so the combination wheel can use the center line so you can be 100% sure the number is set correctly. Setup is not entirely intuitive but just a few minutes of preparation and reading to understand made setup painless. I would also recommend running four or five "test locks". before connecting any devices. The cable is strong and a good weight, and the combo feels well made and secure (doesn't snag or snag on the dials). Compared to padlocks over $50 this is a great value and works (for me) with no issues.
