Review on 🚲 Bell Bike Cable Change Kit with PITCREW Technology by Ricky Cruise

Steal - universal cables and a lot of housing.

I'm repairing some old bikes (one from the 1960's and one from 1976) and need new brake and shift cables that have a different end than most currently sold. Modern cords cost about $1 each when bought in sets of 10 and usually come with only Shimono-type grips or heads. Some older bikes require Campenolo type cables with different grips. It's possible to buy "universal" cables like this Caden Universal Bike Brake Cable - a set of 2 that has a campenolo grip on one end and a shimono grip on the other, but they tend to be quite expensive . This kit includes universal cables and hoses that can be purchased separately at local bike shops or online for $2-$4 per foot. The package includes four cablesβ€”brake cables with a 2-foot (front) and 5-foot (rear) body, and two shifter cables: a 4-foot and a 6-foot body. Each of the inner cables is a foot or more longer than the fuselage. The housings have crimp terminals on both ends. The package contains additional cable lugs and cable lugs for cable crimping. A total of 7 foot brake housings and 10 foot shift housings. I bought 12ft housing at a local bike shop and it cost me $24 so I think it's a big deal. The switch housing claims to be SIS compatible, but I haven't had a chance to test this. There are many cases and you will probably need to cut them (use a tool designed to cut the case - other methods are full PIAs. I've had enough cases from this pack to fix two bikes and still have some left over.
