The good things first: Sound! I never thought 2.0 could sound so aggressive. Install this and you'll be smiling every time you open the throttle. This is probably the least expensive modification you can make to your S2000. I didn't notice a significant increase in performance, but as you know, as an S2K owner, the car was so well engineered from the factory that it's difficult to get the best performance from such additions. The car seemed to ramp up on VTEC faster than before. Maybe it was more fun because of the noise she was making. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward. Some things to look out for are the vacuum line check valve and the solenoid. Just pay attention to how the installation works when removing old pipes. This leaves much more space in the engine compartment. Not that there's much to do with the extra space, but the setup looks cleaner than the factory setup in my opinion. Poor Quality: Parts don't seem to be of the same quality. Especially the plastic tube between the filter and the throttle body adapter. The filter itself and the metal filter housing (box) are very well constructed. It makes the car a little louder at idle, although it's not a big deal. Conclusion: The best value for money you have ever seen. S2000 additional part. It won't give you incredible performance, but it will make for a great ride. I would recommend K&N air filters to any other air filter on the market. This is just my opinion but I have been using them on many vehicles for over 10 years and have never had a problem. If you want to check if this purchase is right for you, simply lift the latches and remove the cover. Your factory airbox. Close and latch the hood and drive a little. The sound you get comes very close to the sound of this system with a few exceptions. 1) Consuming K&N sounds more guttural (not rice). 2) You will notice an annoying hiss when the factory cover is removed, which will not happen with this installed system.
