I'm not exactly a techie, so I wasn't too keen on having to buy an external CD burner for class. Setting it up was easy. I just installed the Roxio software. Connected the cable and plugged in the plug and I was ready to work. Burning a CD took no more than a few minutes. All computer hardware should work like this! UPDATE 2010: Buyers should be aware that this burner and accompanying software are the real $%#@! completely removed from your computer. Worse, once you remove it, it will wipe your E-drive and prevent it from working when you insert a CD or DVD into the drive. I've been lucky enough to find a patch on Microsoft to fix this issue, but it looks like Lightscribe is back and can't be removed entirely without messing up something else. So it's best to exit the DVD burner without uninstalling it if you need to buy it.
