First, I gave 5 stars for "stretch" but I did that because it doesn't stretch (and I don't want it to).Second, we have a cRaZy Boxer who has been horrible to walk. If you drew the short straw, you got Bella. We walked her on a retractable leash and it was a fight from the moment we attached it to her harness until we detached it at the end of her walk.We recently started obedience classes with Bella and the instructor recommended a 6' leash. We found this one online and it looked comfortable to hold (especially if your 60 lbs dog has the legs of a Russian Strongman).My husband and I have both used our new leash and it's so much more comfortable. We can slip it over our wrist and then we hold further down. It doesn't cut into our hands like the flat leashes do.We also foster dogs and had a larger Border Collie mix at our house a couple of weeks ago. He had obviously NEVER walked on a leash, so it was an experience. We only had one of these leashes and we'd fight over this one because nobody wanted the flat leashes.The handle is comfortable but isn't flaking apart or anything and the clasp seems very strong.Very happy! May need to get a backup for foster dogs at our house!
