PPE! If you're having trouble, READ THIS!

Use: Under cabinet lighting. Like some others I had problems with the 4 pin solderless connectors that plug into the 4 copper pins at the end of the LED strip. I had to go back to the listing after trying to install and finally noticed that the seller sells them for LED strips with a silicone cover. If there is no silicone dome, the orthosis cannot be pressed down from above when it snaps into place. Unfortunately I bought an LED strip which is just bare pins and LEDs, no silicone. So I had to figure out what to add above and I finally figured out that HOT GLUE could be perfect! I only had to put a small spoonful of glue on the copper contacts before inserting them and closing the bracket. It took a few tries to figure out exactly how deep to slide the band into the slot before closing it, but I got it right in the end. Hot glue aside, the biggest advice I can give is to always check the LED strip component line 1 at a time while building it. It's almost impossible to isolate a faulty pin once the entire project is built, but testing each one individually can make it a one day project. The only time you'll need to snip a strand is when you cut. I plugged it in for the first cut and caused a flash of light. Otherwise, I recommend buying an LED diffuser kit that can diffuse the light so you don't bounce dots back. Using hot glue, diffusers, and a silicone-free LED strip, this was a (mostly) fun Sunday afternoon project. For your health!
