Review on HAWKUNG Reusable Filament Compression Compress by Mark Green

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Tried many, these are the best!

I've tried so many different versions of these vacuum floss bags. Most fail within 24 hours. I've seen several bags fail within an hour. Most were very disappointing. The first thing I love about these pouches is that they are the perfect size for a 1kg spool of filament. After the air is removed, this is the original box size when the thread came out of the new box. The bags are easy to close. Loading the reel can be a bit tricky at first as the pocket is big enough for the reel. That's actually a good thing, because oversized bags usually don't stay air-free over time. I seal each pouch with two 100 gram bags of desiccant and a humidity indicator card. I used to put desiccant packs in the center of the roll but found that it wasn't as effective as the pack creates an inner seal and the threading is on the outside edge. I recommend placing the packets next to the thread opposite. Judging by the indicator cards, this was the most effective placement. The supplied pump works perfectly. It takes a few squeezes to get a seal and then a lot of squeezing to empty the pouch. I think the pump is too small. If you want a good workout, this pump is for you! I have an electric pump that works with these bags so it wasn't a problem for me. If you use a lot of bags I recommend an electric pump. Have 25 rolls that are in these bags. I've had filament in bags for 48 hours now and no leaks. I will continue to monitor the bags and update this review if anything changes. The lack of updates means that they have maintained the tightness! These might be the best filament packs you will find!
