VW recommends not replacing this part alone, instead they install the PCV valve directly into the valve cover. As such, they are secondary and suffer from poor customization and attention to detail. If you choose this option, be VERY careful to make sure ALL the small latches line up and "snap" into place. You'll find that this is easier said than done, and the device will likely pop out at the worst possible moment. I bought one from another company that failed for 2 years. This popped up during the day as the 2 small latches didn't really line up and latch. At this point I can't trust him enough to keep it going. I tend to take it off and just buy a valve cover and get it right rather than wondering if/when it will come loose and leave me stuck. Tip: AVOID.
