After a long search I found a rug for the living room that I liked. But it was too short. I applied this at an angle at the end to emphasize the sofa/chair group and spilled onto the bare end, elongating the floor. In my situation, I couldn't imagine layering rectangular rugs (Bo-Ho style). But I love the effect of this organic, flowing shape. It's a bit thin, you can see the edge of the rug a bit, but my coffee table covers it and I cut the rug deeper to make it smoother. I wasn't sure how I would feel about a dead cow on the floor but I love it!
