Before I received the unit, based on product research alone I wasn't sure if this unit would fit my setup (Samsung Galaxy S9 projector with HDMI) or it might fail sooner, because it is cheap material. The overall construction feels solid, although of course I'm careful with my electronics as there's no stress on the cable. I've used it for 26 hours on 12 intermittent occasions and haven't had any performance issues. The USB-C connector is said to be non-specific in terms of orientation (there is no such thing as a "right side up" for USB-C), but when last used it only connected when the connector was rotated 180 degrees. Please note that I charge my phone wirelessly so this USB to HDMI device is the only device I plug into this jack, again with no cable or connection issues. Hence 1 star for durability.
