I bought this tape to keep people from sliding down my porch steps. The steps are wooden and become slippery when wet. I was a little concerned if the tape would stick if I applied them in cold weather, but they seem to be sticking well. Before installing, I washed the steps with a bucket of water, household detergent, and a hard floor brush. After allowing the steps to dry for a few hours, I applied the tape to the almost dry steps. In order for the tape to stick most effectively, I heated the glue with a heat gun after installation. A hair dryer is enough. As long as the tape holds up well, I'm happy with the result. The price of this tape was great, especially compared to what I could buy at Home Depot.
