Before this cage I had a very large cage and my bird seemed restless and didn't want to get out. This smaller cage is still very spacious and encourages them to get out and interact more. It feels very comfortable, even with a slight wobble on the stand while moving. The front where the food cups are is really not the best design. If you have perches above it, bird droppings will get in. It would be better if they sat to the side of the cage and not in front of where the bird normally sits. I ended up just putting the water and food cups on the ground and my bird makes perfect use of them and doesn't tip over. I felt like they could be better made of metal. It's a strong cage and my bird couldn't get out. There were no problems assembling the cage. It had no grease or smell. The instructions were very clear. Be sure to remove the plastic wrap from BOTH SIDES of the plastic barriers. It's hard to tell it's even there, but it's definitely a hazard to the bird if it's not removed. The lower tray can be easily removed to change bedding. It slips out easily. I removed the metal grille and there isn't a huge gap to worry about, so that's a big plus! My bird is already hooked on the leg so I'm careful with that now. Overall I would recommend this cage although I would recommend finding another way to place the food/water so it doesn't get dirty. If your bird likes to sit in the back and doesn't make a mess in the front, it doesn't matter.
