Review on πŸ“‘ Waveshare XBee USB Adapter: Convenient UART Communication Board with Onboard Buttons/LEDs for Easy Testing and Programming/Configuration of XBee Modules by William Rothstein

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too long to use with RP-SMA antenna.

I bought this to program Xbee v3 with XCTU which I was able to do. However, there are two problems. First, the highest baud rate I could get from Xbee to communicate with XCTU was 9600, which is slower than expected. But my biggest complaint is that I was planning on using this device to USB power my Xbee. That too can do the trick, but my Xbee has an RP-SMA antenna and Waveshare won't let you install an antenna over USB. the box wall, as this is approx. 1 cm longer. I have to use jumpers to mount this in the box, which I could (and probably will) do with a simple $4 FTDI adapter.
