They are made abroad. I've bought six of these in the last two years. Three out of six are wrong. Two after a season and the third arrived with the lights off. They're basically fragile junk, and if you last more than a year, congratulations. By the way, make sure you keep them in a safe place or you will never unravel them. Another downside is that all the lights are in a straight line. It is impossible to "randomly” arrange them, so there is no template. They either have rows of lights running horizontally or rows running vertically. It really doesn't look good. hard pass.
