I used it as soon as it arrived and was happy with how it ground up some seeds I had but one glaring problem im Related to this is the lack of a safety switch/key for the top. As long as it's plugged in, once the timer spins a little, it'll work regardless of the lid being unscrewed. It only takes the slightest loss of concentration to accidentally place your hand on the windmill's blades, and pressing that button will turn it on. With the motor in this thing, you'll want your hands far, far away when it's running. But it was quieter than expected, nicely packaged, sturdy and did its job well. However, the mere thought of a family member's hand stuck in the blades was enough to bring them back. If you plan on leaving it on, just make sure the top is clipped on, or at least unplug it if your hands are in the grinder.
