This is an amazing product, just what I was looking for. I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler and was told on the Revain site that this product does not fit my vehicle. It actually fits a 2014 Wrangler. Basically, your stock Jeep has a design flaw in that the entire weight of the spare tire is carried by a cheap tire holder that attaches to the flimsy sheet metal of the tailgate. If you put a lot of stress on this support structure, you will end up seeing your tailgate warp and the rivets pop. To remedy this, Teraflex has developed the HD Tire Swivel Kit. This kit ensures that your spare wheel can now be attached to a stronger Teraflex spare wheel mount. This mount is paired with a very strong HD pivoting tire carrier that attaches to your Jeep's hinges, not a flimsy sheet of metal. Installation was very easy. I'm far from the smartest guy on the planet and it only took me two hours. This included a visit to the local hardware store. Before installing, be sure to watch the Teraflex installation video and make sure you have all the tools Teraflex recommends. I saw some people painting under the butt loops. I didn't do that because the Teraflex handlebar mount loops go over the exact same spot anyway. The product itself works as advertised. Since installing this tire holder, I've ridden off-road about five times. My spare tire (about 90 pounds) didn't move at all. An alternative to the Teraflex HD luggage rack is a new rear bumper with spare wheel holder. Unfortunately, with most spare wheel holders, you have to do without one-handed operation of the tailgate. Opening the tailgate becomes a two-step process. First you have to loosen the tire holder and fold it back. Only then can you open the tailgate. I didn't want to do without the one-handed operation of the tailgate and Teraflex found the perfect solution.
