Review on 🧼 Aoyue TY-98 Soldering Iron Tip Cleaner with Brass Wire Sponge - Waterless Solution by Roy Niemeyer

I was skeptical about this product but the reviews made me take a chance. I'm a big fan now. Some of the reviewers mentioned this "rubbing" of their hardware. I don't think this is the best way to use this. Striking brass does an amazing job cleaning and tinning my soldering tip. I've used stick on can tips and slotted sponges but no more. This product can do both and even better. I just got it so can't comment on durability but I have no doubt it will last long enough that I forget how long I've had it before I have to buy another one. I wish it was a little smaller to fit the sponge cavity on my Weller irons. Another reviewer mentioned needing rubber feet. The one I just received has a rubberized finish on the bottom. When I used this I stuck the iron straight down into the brass so I don't care if it has a rubber bottom or not as the cup doesn't move much anyway.
