Rust right out of the box. Probably not rustproof. Blunt blade. good pen.

As the name suggests. Let's look at the good things first. The handle is comfortable to use and really reliable. For example, if necessary, you can KO someone with a pen, as opposed to those pathetic wooden-handled llamas. Overall it seems like it's going to be a long time coming. Neutral: If you don't ONLY set it right, the blade will wobble and shift as you tighten the nut when you set it straight. I'll probably get used to it over time, but right now it's a bit annoying. Now for the minus: rust forms almost everywhere. The hilt had two spots of rust just outside the box (one in the circle under the blade and one around the bolt on the outside of the hilt). I rinsed everything once because who knows what production residue is on new stuff only to find the water is rusty when I rinsed the nut. I took a cotton swab inside and it turned out to be a very dark rusty brown and upon closer inspection you could see spots of rust running up and down the threads inside. I took pictures and will post them if possible. In any case, it is solid metal. Other than the blade (which is very dull despite only being used once), I don't think it's stainless steel.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
