Review on Set of 2 Clear Stair Treads Carpet Protectors by Darrion Hudson

I bought the exact same steps a few years ago for about $2 each. I have no idea why it cost me $50 for 4 of them now. This is pure mugging at its finest. With such price gouging, it's no wonder we're all buying Chinese imports. These are just plastic steps for stairs. Why are they charging such ridiculous prices? These steps are also not of very good quality. They turn yellow and change color. I wouldn't mind if I could just buy new ones as they turn yellow. But at these prices, it's not going to happen anytime soon. Can anyone explain why these clear plastic stair treads are so ridiculously expensive?
