This is the 3rd Cobalt Unibit Irwin I have bought in the last few years. (3 different sizes) Short review: Irwin tools are reliable and of very good quality. I know I can get the job done if I use an Irwin tool or bit. My latest Unibit was used to drill 120 nickel sized holes in a stainless steel plating. (about 1/8 inch thick) (uses a drill press). I was in a hurry and didn't use drilling oil. Irwin survived the challenge but reached his limit, which was more than I expected. I bought this particular Irwin 10234CB to drill a 13/16 inch hole in my Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Black Charcoal Grill. I wanted a River Country 3-inch Adjustable Professional BBQ, Grill & Smoker Thermometer (RC-T3W) (from 50 to 550F) (see my photo on the product page) and this Unibit got the job done with little fuss. were made of plastic) Irwin Unibits are quite expensive compared to other brands, but if you want the best, longest-lasting service, you should be sure of Irwin Cobalt Bits.*** Remember, drilling oil (or any oil, even olive oil) to extend the life of your bits.
