The product does its main job and does it well. But this is definitely not the best technical example. Most of the time, when a customer needs an enhancement, they want a complete, well-thought-out solution, not the beginning of a problem. There was no 5/8" extension pin to attach the extension to the auto hitch in addition to the original pin and pin clamp needed to connect the ball to the extension and secure everything in place. Additionally, there was no cable extension to reduce the additional distance from the towed device or object to the cable connection. Finally, extra clearance for safety chains to attach to the tow hitch on the vehicle was not considered. As an engineer, I was taught to analyze problems and offer complete and complex solutions, not problems and challenges for the customer.
