The lock fitted with no problems. Then when I tried to unlock and release the lock, it wouldn't open. After trying to disconnect for about 30 minutes, I decided to turn to the internet to see what I was doing wrong. It turns out that the ball bearings that "lock" the device don't retract when the locking pin is removed. I ended up taking the lock to the garage and banging the end against the workbench until it came loose, about 10 seconds. - 15 strokes. Excellent! Now I disassembled it, greased the ball bearings and tried again. No! Still not breaking up. As a result, I have no confidence that once I put a lock on my car I can remove it if necessary. For now I'm sticking with the traditional cotter pin to hold the clutch pin. on site.
