Review on YESKAMO Wireless Outdoor Security Camera System with 2 Way Audio, Floodlight, and Color Night Vision - 3MP Video, 8CH NVR Surveillance Kits, Plug & Play, 7 Alarm Ways, H.265 Compression, 2TB HDD by Ruben Saunders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, clear day and night videos, NOT that fantastic tech support

Yeskamo 4 camera security system good value for money ($345). Daylight images are sharp, clear and can be used to identify a subject. Night IR images are also sharp and clear and can be used for identification, although not as clear as day images. The nighttime "spotlight" feature is handy and obviously encourages everyone to "smile" when they're in the picture. Many people take photos of their neighbor's house or parked car to see if the video can be used. The house and car don't move, so you get a clear picture of your car, but not necessarily the person guarding it. I have found that the Yeskamo system captures adequate video of a person moving for identification; something the competitor didn't do. In the attached daytime shot, a car drives past our house at about 30 miles per hour. In the second image, I'm walking towards the camera at night with Spotlight mode on. I bought a competitor's product because the reviews "looked good" but had to return it due to a complete lack of features, although they promised me a "free new system" when they fixed their problems if I deleted my bad review (I didn't). Yeskamo's system implemented all the missing features of its competitor and works with me to find answers to my questions without promising a good rating. Unlike other systems, Yeskamo's system stores videos in high definition. MediaInfo reports that the video downloaded to my computer is 768 kbps, 2304*1296 (16:9) at 30,000 fps, bits/(pixels*frame): 0.009, hev1. Audio that isn't that important to me is rendered as Channel(s) = 1 Channel, Sample Rate = 8000 Hz, Bit Depth = 8 Bit, Stream Size = 298 KiB (8%), Interleave Duration = 40 ms (1.21) reported. video image). The mic in the cameras is quite sensitive and picks up my neighbor's dog barking, they're about 1/8 mile down the road. While the video doesn't currently play in MS Media Player, it does play in PotPlayer and VLC. The former allows you to use the freeze frame and zoom features, while the latter allows you to take pictures easily. Both were recommended by Yeskamo. I worked with Yeskamo tech support to improve the night video with the headlight on. They were VERY responsive and asked intelligent questions, unlike a competitor who only said what he thought he wanted to hear. So far the only downsides are: 1) The distance from the NVR is only about 100 feet through a wall. I haven't tried the repeater feature or the repeater I bought. I have a camera looking at the backyard about 140ft from the NVR and I tried using a 5dB antenna which increased the trace count by one and stopped the video from dropping. 2) In the USA, daylight saving time begins and ends on the second Sunday and the first Sunday, respectively. Yeskamo triggers weekly, which doesn't cover all temporary changes. I have reported this to Yeskamo Technical Support and I hope they update the software. I will update it if new problems or solutions are discovered. yeskamo.com (listed on Yeskamo website) seems to have stopped answering questions, at least they haven't answered my technical questions since 7-32, 7-29 and 8-2. If you ask technical questions here on the Revain site you will get answers from sellers, but most technical questions are WRONG answers as they are non-technical and you are limited to short questions/explanations! There is a WHITE exclamation mark in the RED triangle on the main page listing issues and interventions. It lists ONLY the RECENT intrusions for each installed camera or none. That means you have to watch the saved video if you haven't opted in to receive notifications on your mobile phone. One of the latest tech answers showed a screenshot of the camera software version 2.6.1.57. and system software version 3.0.9.0. I asked to update my system but was told these screenshots are not for my system (they are from Revain). Why should I send a screenshot of another system to explain my problem?
