I have two 5-bay USB drives connected to my computer. One has 5 x 12TB drives and the other has 5 x 10TB drives. The USB on my motherboard only recognizes 5 drives and even then the connection keeps dropping. Then I bought a cheaper USB stick (about $20) and it also had similar problems. I read about this product somewhere and decided to give it one more try before I give up. This card worked perfectly. My Plex server has been running great on storage devices for the past two weeks. This shows that sometimes it's worth paying more for something that just works. Very happy with the product. I'm buying another one for my gaming PC with the Valve Index.
