Works with two USB 3.0 5-bay desktop drives.

I have two 5-bay USB drives connected to my computer. One has 5 x 12TB drives and the other has 5 x 10TB drives. The USB on my motherboard only recognizes 5 drives and even then the connection keeps dropping. Then I bought a cheaper USB stick (about $20) and it also had similar problems. I read about this product somewhere and decided to give it one more try before I give up. This card worked perfectly. My Plex server has been running great on storage devices for the past two weeks. This shows…

Done works on Linux

Bought to get USB 3 on my old Supermicro X9SRL-F motherboard. dd'd Debian 10 netinstall iso on USB flash drive and installed Debian on USB SATA SSD connected to this PCIe card and everything worked right away. The Debian 10 installation recognized the PCIe card and anything attached to it with no problems.

Works but read more

I just bought this flimsy back and it lives up to its hype for what it does. It has two independent USB 3.0 controllers and both are connected to an Asmidia PCI bridge (note: it's approaching maximum throughput on both external ports). in 2019. This model is now out of use and that was great too. I give this product 5 stars, the only downside is that the price is more than 3 times the price of a low profile 2 port PCIe x1 card. once. There is another model with 4 controllers, 4 external ports…

Almost works. in Computer Components

The rear external ports work fine even with a hub connected - I bought this card because it has two dedicated controllers/channels for 2x2 ports (one controller for the rear ports and a separate one controller for the two internal ports). However, the two internal ports should have a 20-pin connector to connect to the USB-3 front panel mounts, not two separate Type-A ports - all USB-3 front panels with more than one port have a 20-pin connector ! (Might work well with a 1-port panel mount that…
