Experience on first try and update on second try

I am a DIY enthusiast who has made many pieces of furniture. I checked their website before painting to see if there was more application information than what is on their little jar but I didn't find anything. I was excited to try this color and my first project was a bathroom cabinet. I disagree with their advice, which is not necessary for beginners. I walked through the dark closet and bled to death after a while. So I primed and then repainted. (In my experience, you'll never regret priming your furniture first, so lesson learned again.) No more leaks. I like to roll furniture whenever possible for a smoother finish, only in one direction (rather than back and forth like painting a wall). This polish didn't work for me. It bubbled all over the place, so contrary to my usual painting technique, I just went in one direction, moving back and forth, and it wouldn't get rid of the bubbles. I had to knock out the blisters by gently stroking them. Unfortunately, using the brush leaves little brush marks and it just annoyed me. Next time I'll try a sponge roller and see if I have better luck. If I do I will try to remember to update this review. UPDATE: I've done a few more projects with this paint using a small roller (and brush where needed). I use a small roller (the thinnest available) because a large roller will likely soak up at least half of a small paint can. It leaves bubbles when rolling but I know they will go away on their own. I built a bathroom cabinet that is used by two parents and three younger children. In the last ten months he's been really good. I wash with TSP and then prime with a good primer. I always prime before using this paint. This prevents bleeding and I find it helps with adhesion. I sand lightly between layers. Thanks to its excellent durability, this color has now become my favorite color for furniture projects. I've found their coverage estimate to be accurate for two coats per 20 square feet. Update December 2018: It's been over a year and the kitchen and bathroom cabinets still look great. And of course they will find a lot of useful things. I've done other projects and broke my rule of only rolling in one direction. I roll back and forth and then do it all in one direction to finish it off.
