Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Premium Hand-Crafted Glass Fermentation Weights - Easy Handle for Wide Mouth Mason Jar: Sauerkraut, Pickles, Kimchi & More 6pck, New & Improved 7.1oz by Melissa Gonzalez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Be careful what glass you use in

Two part review: 1) The product is well made, well packaged, easy to use and clear which is very important. 5 star rating here. 2) Fit wise they are great width wise for a 16oz wide mason. However, if you use this product with Eden's House fermenters, you will quickly find that you are wasting about 8 ounces of space between the weight handle, the fermenter valve and the space you must leave on top of the can. to prevent water from flowing out of the top of the valve when air is sucked in. No problem, I'll buy a 32-ounce wide-mouth mason jar. Ideally I only need about 24 ounces for the amount of food I want to ferment. However, the problem with the 32-ounce jug is that the body of the jug is much more rectangular than that of the 16-ounce jug. When you cut the food you want to ferment, part of it may slide away due to the weight of the fermenting. In short, it doesn't fit well in 16-ounce Mason Ball jars with an Eden's House fermentation lid, and doesn't fit widthwise with a 32-ounce ball. stone benches.
