The scale is excellent and I liked it as soon as I received it. What made my buying experience even better was that I contacted the seller about a broken handle on one of the loads - they were quick to respond and sent me a replacement plus two fermenting lids which is also a great product which is my 3rd time buying for lately. Also, I think the 6 pack is the best combination of quality and price for similar products.

These weights are much heavier than others I have. All six weigh between 7.1 and 7.2 ounces. The top handle is easy to grip with fingers or pliers. A nice feature that I haven't seen on other scales is the X-shaped indentation on the top of the handle. If you use fermentation lids without a waterlock and tend to overfill your jars easily, this indentation prevents the handle from blocking the silicone valve in the center of the lid, which people complain about with weights that don't have it…

I decided to invest in them to make my sauerkraut cooked in a wide-mouth jar more even. While I was hoping to find something made in the USA I figured it would be the next best thing.
