The dampers were difficult to install by one person but I managed with a bit of physics. I would rate them 5 stars except there is no way to prevent the spool from slapping while moving so you have a spool slap sound with every small and large slap. It's a dull sound so I'll live with it. But it would be nice if there was a shim at the bottom to hold that lag and eliminate that friction. On the plus side, I have 1.5 inches of extra clearance over my 25-inch off-road tires. This, together with the heavy-duty shock absorber, prevented tire wear on even the most drastic ruts and bumps. In general I'm happy. I can design my own pads to silence them again as I travel through my hunting grounds.
