Review on Amana Carbide Dynabit Laminate Bearing by Jake Powell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Only a slight downward shift, but sufficient for brittle veneers with a wood core.

I bought this anegri veneer nozzle with a wood backing which I have installed on some cabinet surfaces. First I apply an edge strip to remove the visible line on the front of the door. This bit works very well. The veneer does not chip or peel anywhere, not even at the ends. I'm giving 4 stars because the bit goes a bit into the glue edge, but nothing that the planned sanding wouldn't clear up. The photo is misleading - it's not the same. There is a larger gap between the bearing and the cutting surface, which allows contact cement to accumulate. This reduces the amount of glue that accumulates on the bearing. You still have to remove the glue from time to time, but it's much better with a gap.
