Review on Premier Gear PG 8483 Professional Alternator by Jarrett Young

I love everything about this product especially that it is 2 pin and not 4 pin as the description says . After installing the generator I have to say I'm still impressed. The alternator was actually the 2 pin I needed although the product compatibility line said it was a 4 pin, thanks for the mistake but I read that customers have 3 and 4 pin so buyers know what plug you have if it is a 2-. PIN PLUG, USE ONLY 2 PIN GENERATOR. The reason for this is that the voltage regulator doesn't work, it goes into 'limp' mode and only runs for about a month which will burn the battery, so save yourself the headache and install the correct alternator with the correct plug . . That being said I did some research on this company and they make a really good alternator. I only wish they were built a little closer to home but again this product uses premium components, right down to the stator and rectifier ie recommend, just know what you are doing when installing it
