Nice to have a working remote control again!
The original SONY remote stopped responding to most buttons, indicating years of abuse by teenagers had taken its toll. I tried to fix it (very difficult to take apart) and clean the contacts but he decided to mix it up into a big Valhalla remote in the sky. Seemed like a try for less than $10 and I have to say it has been done so far.
