I currently have three: one for water based watercolors and markers, one for Inktense blocks (so I can mix water and white paint to create my own gouache shades) and one for oil pastels (so I can mix with Gamsol and make glazes). Each palette has a very smooth side and then a rough side so you can "sand" your media (great for Neocolor II pastels, ink blocks and colored pencils) and mix with water, paint, gumsol or gel to create your own to create colour. Dye. My only criticism is that they are tiny (half the size of a regular piece of paper) and some colors stain. But they are easy to clean, easy to store and use.
