This strap was purchased to replace the standard resin strap that came with the watch. I've had watches with polymer straps for many years, and after a few years they inevitably break. an expensive smartwatch on my wrist as I embark on my next adventure. This beautiful all-metal strap not only keeps the watch secure on my wrist, it also looks great and goes perfectly with the black metal detailing. It's also very affordable! nonetheless. If you push this thing through enough dirt, water, salt and grime, the dirt is going to build up inside and corrode the quick release links. It also grabs the connections, causing uncomfortable squeaky noises and sensations. Fortunately, this is easy to handle. crap comes out. Shake it back and forth to remove dirt. Slide the quick connect latches back and forth to release them. The bracelet will not "flex" or "stretch" like a standard resin bracelet. As such, you may experience minor issues with the heart rate sensor's accuracy after you adjust it to a comfortable size. However, the watch's manual warns you of this possibility. You don't have to mark a star. If heart rate accuracy is that important to you, consider a chest strap. -- Update: Two years later and the bracelet is still secure. I rubbed it a little. Quick couplings faded. But everything remains totally reliable and as long as I take care of it as I described in the main body of the original review I see no reason why it shouldn't last a lifetime. However, I have gone back and adjusted some wording in the body of the review, but my opinion remains positive and unchanged. :D
