Prefer metal straps over plastic straps for aesthetics and feel. I tried it, it's cheap. First of all, the color is identical to the matte dark grey/black on the Garmin Fenix 5X. The strap is large as I ended up removing 4 links to fit a medium sized wrist. The clasp is solid and works well, although not as smooth as on more expensive watches, but for this price point it's pretty standard. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was better than I expected.

Okay, the workmanship is good, but not enthusiastic about the double locking. It doesn't lock at all unless the last latch is closed and screwed tight. There is nothing that cannot be repaired with pliers. But the mechanism is flimsy and cheap, not like stainless steel but not magnetic either.
