I removed my old worn out bonnet lift struts after the wind caused my bonnet to fall on my back! I bought them and they work GREAT. Very easy to install. Just remove an old brace, but raise the hood if your old ones can't support the hood. Then simply insert a new one and then create a second post in the same way. Simply! This makes the top very easy to raise and when pulled up it stays up. When you close the hood, you can feel the force of these hood lift legs, but they allow you to close the hood without falling off, but close it gently. AAA rating
