Now my bonnet stays open

I bought these for a 2002 F350, they fit but for a moment I was worried as they were a bit longer. I wasn't sure if the extra length would allow the hood to close without bending or breaking one or both. But it closed with no problems. They work great and hold my hood up even in windy conditions, which my worn-out OEMs won't do anymore. Installation is very simple, take the small pin out of the old one, remove the pin out of the new one, put it on and plug in the pin. Do this 4 times and youโ€ฆ

The perfect replacement for hood dampers!

Durable replacement shock absorbers for the hood of a heavy diesel truck. Should have bought sooner! literally like day and night. I just pick up the hood and forget it. Easy to install, just pull out the old ones and put in the new hood dampers. I work as a service advisor for a major Ford dealership and they are better than any stock shocks we sell and cost a lot less. They lasted over a year in harsh conditions with no rust, no leaks and no noise. I'm glad I found this brand on this tourโ€ฆ

strong and sturdy best in shock absorbers, struts and suspension

I removed my old worn out bonnet lift struts after the wind caused my bonnet to fall on my back! I bought them and they work GREAT. Very easy to install. Just remove an old brace, but raise the hood if your old ones can't support the hood. Then simply insert a new one and then create a second post in the same way. Simply! This makes the top very easy to raise and when pulled up it stays up. When you close the hood, you can feel the force of these hood lift legs, but they allow you to close theโ€ฆ

FEEL UNDER THE HATCHBACK OR BONNET.

I live in the Pacific Northwest (Idaho) where ice and snow accumulation is common. My head could no longer support the weight of the hundred pound hood that fell on it. I wanted a good, heavy-duty gas cylinder that could carry that much weight. I found it in this product, I installed them on my 2003 Ford F350 LARIAT Dually in the snow and ice and when I removed the stick holding the hood up WAH LA the hood stayed up I actually had to lower it finally be able to my head and fingers feel secureโ€ฆ

Perfect OEM replacement - keep your old clamps until installation.

Fits perfectly, has the right angle at the bottom and clicks into place precisely on the hinge balls. HOWEVER - don't throw away the old clips until you're sure about your new setup. Those $%^&*( clips are jumping around like a scared mouse and you may not find the clip again. Some notes - put a 2x4 or similar in front of the top of the hood. The reason you are replacing the hood is an old stock will NOT support the hood (if so why replace it?) (yes a new design will support the hood but it'sโ€ฆ

Great shock absorbers on lifts

I bought these to replace the ones on my F350. I suspected the old ones weakened when holding the hood, but the hood moved up and down when latched while driving. I wanted to be sure that the bonnet would not open while driving. PSA uses something to support the hood or tailgate when changing shocks. LOL I didn't think mine was where it wears as they still kept the hood. Well, once I've taken one off. the hood hit my arm. It was very painful, but in the end I was able to free my hand andโ€ฆ
