Great shock absorbers on lifts

I bought these to replace the ones on my F350. I suspected the old ones weakened when holding the hood, but the hood moved up and down when latched while driving. I wanted to be sure that the bonnet would not open while driving. PSA uses something to support the hood or tailgate when changing shocks. LOL I didn't think mine was where it wears as they still kept the hood. Well, once I've taken one off. the hood hit my arm. It was very painful, but in the end I was able to free my hand and replace the electric shocks. The effort required to close the hood is now significantly greater than before. Also, don't try to remove the clamps on the new shocks, they are designed to hit the grip. I tried removing one and it hurt. Then it didn't want to keep its shape when it was reinstalled. I had to use a vise to change the shape of the clamp. That's when I discovered that simply pressing them with the clip still on them would slide them on the handle.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
