I've read a lot of reviews on here and while a lot of butt pain has made me want to do something I can honestly say that all the complaints about its screwing were unfounded. To be fair, no screws are included, but if you're replacing it because your cable broke like I did, you won't need them. There are only two bolts holding the old winch in place, only a standard wrench or 9/16" socket is required. Remove the bolts, disconnect the plastic tube, then pull out the old winch and install the new one. plastic tube and align the screw holes. The holes on the new winch are not pre-threaded, but that's not a problem. If you're using the original screws, you just apply a little pressure when tightening and they screw in very quickly. This tool took less than ten minutes from start to finish. Tighten the bolts and then jack the tire back up to where it should have been. Congratulations. Ready! Installed on my '99 Ford F-350.
