When the original mirror was broken, I had to get a replacement. The decision was taken based on the dimensions of the previous one as well as the requirement that there be a stand present. In general, I purchased this item because I believed that the backlight would make it simpler to use; nevertheless, either the backlight has to be made brighter or the mirror needs to be made larger, because I did not observe any special advantages associated with the backlight. Because it will make more sense, the ring light will need that I purchase a mirror for it.
