As other people said - it just works. I had a severe leak around the pinion shaft on the steering rack. so bad that I had to add fluid to the steering reservoir on a weekly basis. A new rack (parts, labor, alignment) costs about $900, and this one is $10. Not a very difficult decision. I poured about 2 ounces of this product with a new steering reservoir refill for fear that too much could over inflate the o-rings and cause more damage. This was the last necessary refueling. Three months later the steering fluid level is the same. Not another drop wasted. My advice is to add slowly (1-2 ounces at first, then drive for a few days and just add another ounce if the leak persists). That being said, I wish other "leak stop" products were as effective as this one.
