Review on IVIEW-3500STB III: Advanced ATSC Digital Converter Box with Recording, Media Player, and HDMI by Christian Young

It's not often that I write a bad review about a product, but in this particular case I really didn't have a choice. I ordered this converter and received it in a few days, it had to replace another brand converter, which gave me problems. On receipt I found it was well packaged, the box had some minor damage but not enough to make me think twice. When I took it out of the box it was in brand new condition, I just installed it and then plugged it in, everything seemed normal up to that point. I put the batteries in the remote and then hit the power button, I was fully expecting it. impressed me with his skills but instead it was a big disappointment! I got absolutely nothing on the TV and the small display on the converter itself just showed dashes no matter what I did that was all I got. I pressed the power button again and the device's display turned on a red LED letting me know the device was off, as well as the clock (wrong time). I pressed the power button again and everything is as before, nothing but a dash on the device's display and absolutely nothing on the TV, I've pressed most of the buttons on the remote and nothing, I've pressed the buttons on the front of the device and still nothing. I checked all the cables and the end result was always the same, no joy! I believe this is a new model and hopefully this is not the norm for this device. I recommend this converter to everyone. I had no choice but to return this converter. Revain is absolutely amazing when it comes to returns.
