Review on 🍶 Copco Chloe 1 Quart Thermal Carafe - White by Sri Mims

Opinions are divided on this product. I would like to contribute and hopefully clarify what this decanter can and cannot do. First, let me say that a clean, smooth, white porcelain surface is beautiful and very easy to clean. Stains can be easily removed with a damp, soft cloth. The top slips on and off easily and forms a tight, airtight seal. The drink can be dispensed simply by pressing the lever with your thumb. The handle is large and comfortable, and even when full, it's easy to pour coffee or tea without spilling. Now about hot. You must follow the instructions! First, heat the carafe with boiling water, let it stand for about a minute, then pour off the water and pour the coffee. Our coffee maker heats the coffee just below boiling point (as it should), so there is likely to be a few degrees of heat loss from pouring coffee into the Copco carafe. If the carafe is hot when we pour the coffee and we cap it tightly as directed on the package insert, the coffee will stay quite hot, probably over 180F for about 8 hours. We also heat our cups with hot water before we pour our coffee from the carafe into the cups. Again, keep as much heat as possible. If you don't, you will most likely end up with lukewarm coffee. Even after 10 hours, the carafe kept the coffee warm to hot. I don't think it matters whether you have a $25 or $250 Thermos-style insulated carafe with a glass liner - you probably won't upgrade until you follow these steps. The main reason for this is not to constantly heat the coffee which always gives it a burnt taste as the heating will further evaporate and ruin the flavor of the beans. We buy expensive beans because we love good coffee. Why spoil it without keeping it warm and flavorful at the right temperature, skipping the necessary steps, or overheating the product? I think the Copco tank is the perfect tank for all of these reasons.
