A little confusing at first due to the moisture but after a while you get used to it. All worked right out of the box and varied in both humidity and temperature wherever I placed them. Three of them read the same numbers, and the other two were wrong by 2 points (but they matched). The correct temperatures are again within 1-2 points of my thermostat. I find this quite acceptable for my use, maybe not for others, so keep that in mind. I am very happy with the purchase, they are small (not unexpected), easy to read and easy to place in different rooms around the house to measure how well the air conditioning is working. They didn't need to be fixed anywhere due to their shape and size, they fit perfectly on shelves, tables, dressers, etc. without looking like a wart, and the numbers on the screen are easy to read.
