Review on 🚘 Hotwin First Inertia Switch: Advanced Vehicle Crash Sensor for Ignition and Electric Fuel Pump Safety by Mario Beaklini

Good switch Easy to reconfigure

The switch is easy to install. B NO and for my purposes it was necessary NC. The change is not documented, but easy to implement. If you need to change the wiring, remove the yellow cap on the connector (see picture). The wire positions are labeled COM NO and NC. It was configured with wires in NO and COM. You want to move the NO wire to the NC position. The wires are held in place with a retaining clip that folds back to release the wire for easy removal. Insert a small screwdriver (I used a 1.4mm jeweller's screwdriver) to loosen the wire. Look inside the socket with a flashlight to determine the depth of the lock and the direction to pry the lock. It's easy to spot in an empty hole. A small flat head screwdriver works better than a round object like a paper clip. Pull the wire to be moved while lifting the bracket. When you release the latch, pull the wire to lift the latch and it will slide out of the hole. Move the wire to the desired location, insert it into the back of the connector and hook the bracket. Make sure the cable is centered, replace the yellow connector in the cable socket and install the switch.
