This is a great set of hairpins, especially considering the very reasonable price. I have fairly long hair, but it's fairly thin, so small 3 1/2 inch bobby pins usually work for me - these are the ones I have the most, and they work just as well for me if I only have a parted hairstyle want to do or if I want to put all my hair in a twist right after shampooing. As I've been working from home most of the time lately I keep things simple and styling is quick and easy. I don't have as many big bobby pins as my daughters and granddaughter who have much longer and thicker hair. as I often raid my stash - also I usually only use them when I curl my hair and they have way more volume than usual. From the photos that accompany the product description I thought the version with the bow design and the small one Curve might be one of the biggest hair claws I wouldn't use very often but they actually work great on my hair. There are two of these, one slightly darker than the other, and they are very different from other hairclaws I have: teeth of different lengths, shorter at the ends and longer in the middle, and they are straight, not curved like claws. Case for most of my hair claws. They hold my hair very well and I find they work well even for those who have much thicker hair than mine. There are also four short bobby pins on each side for an even better grip on the hair. The smaller (about 1 inch) barrel shaped bobby pins also differ from my other clips in that the prongs are offset, which works really well on my thin hair. There are two similar but different colors and they also have small pins to increase grip. I was very pleased with this set but it also included two wide tortoise shell hair clips; two inches long and are not only versatile but also very pretty and I will use them often. All hair claws have smooth teeth and moderately strong spring mechanism and open/close easily. They are fairly light but don't feel fragile or break easily. I think the price of $6.99 for four good quality medium clips + two bonus bobby pins is a lot.
