Installed the 'kit' about 3 months ago on my rarely driven 2008 PT Cruiser with 43,000 miles. I decided to switch due to the age of the machine. I'm a mechanic (reduction gear) and professional powertrain engineer with 40 years of experience. Within 1000 miles the DAMN water pump failed due to a shaft seal. dripping antifreeze. The toothed belt was NOT tensioned. Now I'm disassembling the complete front of the engine AGAIN....... Thank you very much. There's nothing like working over 8 hours TWICE! ! ! Avoid those headaches! ! ! !
