Lightweight 29-piece SAE drill set in a metal box with pointers; TiN Coated Bits

If I want to use my DeWalt drill I need a really good quality drill that will cut the hole with no difficulty. These are medium quality bits, 29 in an index box (Figure 1). I didn't like that the box is open exposing bits even when the box is closed. I also didn't like that the bit sections didn't move or fold when opened, making it difficult to grasp the size I want to use. I have found that these bits are made from high speed steel coated with titanium nitride which slightly improves durability. These are NOT "split-point" drills (see tip in Figure 4). They also don't have 3-flat ground shanks on the larger sizes (3/8" to 1/2"). The triangular shank prevents the drill from turning in the drill chuck. I was under the impression that these are mediocre drills that aren't worth using. Of course they drill wood, but there is a better selection of drill bits out there and there are too many bugs in this set for me to recommend. I can't really recommend this CIPCO PRO TOOL 29 Piece Drill Bit Set made from Titanium Coated High Speed Steel with a Gold Finish. Drill. It's average quality at best and not a very good price. I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
